just found out that the flute i bid $250 for for the star trek auction...- it was estimated $8,000 to $12,000-...sold for $48,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
are people crazy???!?!? it's not even a REAL flute. it's a PROP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know, but hey, it's one of the more iconic props.
I couldn't bid. Just watched in awe. What I wanted was the Enterprise-A, though it would have filled my entire studio!
I hope someone has it in its own special room right now, under soft light, being fed grapes, fanned by palm leaves and rubbed down with scented oils.
